| Originally founded as a farming
community in the 1830s, Romeoville blossomed in the
early 20th century as a popular resort town for Chicago
area residents.
Nestled on the west bank of the Des Plaines
River, just 30 miles south of Chicago's Loop,
Romeoville still offers the same relaxed atmosphere
and recreational activities that first attracted city
dwellers more than one hundred years ago.
With six public parks and four golf courses,
numerous tennis courts, skating rinks, ball fields,
hiking trails, fishing lakes and several hundred acres
of forest preserve, Romeoville is the perfect oasis
outside of the city.
Its close proximity to I-55 has also
made the community a beacon for new businesses and schools,
as well as residential and commercial developments.
By coupling an ideal location with a
quaint lifestyle, Romeoville is quickly becoming one
of the most sought-after spots in Will County. |
